Paddy Gower's The F#$%ing News
We’ve had our fair share of media attention, but this one was seriously fun—Paddy Gower and his team from The F’ing News came to check out Forest Lodge Orchard! Paddy made the trip to Central Otago to see firsthand how we’ve ditched fossil fuels and gone 100% electric on our cherry orchard. From our electric Monarch MK-V tractor to our solar-powered battery system, we got to showcase exactly what an all-electric farm looks like in action.
If there’s one thing we love, it’s proving that electric farming isn’t just possible—it’s better. We walked Paddy through our setup, explaining how we’ve cut costs, improved efficiency, and eliminated emissions without sacrificing productivity. There were plenty of laughs, some solid “aha” moments, and (of course) a bit of classic Paddy-style banter.
One of the biggest takeaways from the segment? Electrification isn’t the future—it’s happening right now. And if a cherry orchard in rural New Zealand can do it, so can plenty of other farms and businesses.
